SoccerHubb International kicks off on Trop-X

13-October-2014
Following the successful completion of its minimum capital raise, SoccerHubb International (SHI) kicked off its listing at 10am on October 9, 2014 on the Trop-X Venture Capital Board in US Dollars.

SHI is a holding company holding a percentage of the issued share capital of SoccerHubb Limited. The UK company is a tech start-up developing Soccerhubb.com, a social network for football.

When the company was asked about their reasons for listing, a spokesman for SHI informed that “the company listed in order to raise funds to further enhance the functionality of the platform. Trop-X appealed as a listing venue as it allows for the listing of start-up firms”.

The Trop-X Venture Capital Board requires funds from the capital raise to be held in escrow and released once the company has met pre-determined milestones.
At the date of listing, the company had met all four milestones giving it full access to the funds raised.

SoccerHubb said that “the underlying company has continued developing the platform while SHI has been undergoing the listing process.

“SoccerHubb.com can boast a number of Barclays Premier league clubs as users such as Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and famous football players including Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale,” the spokesman said, adding that SHI was pleased that Seychellois investors have taken up the chance to invest.

When asked about further plans for the platform, SoccerHubb informed the website will be adding some really exciting and unique features and advised potential users to go to Soccerhubb.com to sign up and find out more.

Bobby Brantley, the chief executive of the Seychelles Securities Exchange, Trop-X, welcomed SHI as both the first listing on the Venture Capital Board and the first US Dollar listing.

SHI also represented the first IPO of a company in Seychelles under the new Securities Act.

“I am very pleased to welcome SHI to the exchange and wish them the best of luck in their endeavours to build the company. This listing shows the credibility of Trop-X as a capital raising venue in multiple currencies,” said Mr Brantley.
