Marriage suits him! The honeymoon may be over but George Clooney appears in fine form as he steps out in New York minus wife Amal

Marriage suits him! The honeymoon may be over but George Clooney appears in fine form as he steps out in New York minus wife Amal

He was married less than two weeks ago in a lavish ceremony in Venice, Italy.

But after spending some quality alone time together holed up in their new sprawling country estate in Berkshire, England - forgoing a traditional honeymoon after their destination wedding - it was back to work for the actor come Thursday.
And sadly that meant leaving his British bride behind as he jetted to New York, the star still sporting that newlywed glow as he was seen emerging from the Carlyle Hotel.

UK intelligence agencies spying on lawyers in sensitive security cases

Internal MI5, MI6 and GCHQ documents reveal routine interception of legally privileged communications

The intelligence services have routinely been intercepting legally privileged communications between lawyers and their clients in sensitive security cases, according to internal MI5, MI6 and GCHQ documents.

The information obtained may even have been exploited unlawfully and used by the agencies in the fighting of court cases in which they themselves are involved, the Investigatory Powers Tribunal (IPT) has been told, resulting in miscarriages of justice.

Amal Clooney reveals her court outfit: 'I'm wearing Ede & Ravenscroft'

Amal Clooney, the human rights lawyer, is in the news again this week, representing Armenia in a battle against Turkey over a man's freedom to describe the 1915 Armenian genocide as an "international lie".
But as is often the case in glamorous lawyer's high-profile international cases, Mrs Clooney became as much the focus of Wednesday's court proceedings as the matter in hand.
Asked by the Telegraph about the feverish speculation about what she would be wearing for the court appearance, Mrs Clooney laughed and pointed to her black barrister’s robes.
“I’m wearing Ede and Ravenscroft,” she joked, in a reference to the famous English company of legal robe makers and tailors since 1689.
